ASAS Labor GmbH is working on generating reference substances that are not commercially available, in particular in the area of extractables and leachables (E/L). Starting from extracts from pharmaceutical packaging materials or their corresponding raw materials, the target compounds are isolated using semi-preparative HPLC. Degradation products are produced by electrochemical conversion. ASAS specializes in reactive (electrophilic) E/L's, such as halogenated rubber oligomers and degraded antioxidants (quinone methides).
